The First Step

Elaine lost her father when she was 8 years old and her family struggled to make ends meet. In high school, Elaine got a job to help her mother support the family; she eventually left school to earn a little more. Elaine always knew she was smart, so she decided to find out what she was capable of by finishing high school with the Discovery Centre!

Elaine explains, “Taking the first step to finish High School with the Discovery Centre has been a game-changer for me!”

What You Need 

Through the excitement of going back to school, Elaine also found she felt anxious and intimidated. When she called us for the first time, our team was right there to reassure and support her.

Elaine recalls, “They said, ‘We’re here to help’ and that’s what you need to hear.”
