Hayley’s future is bright

Taking that ‘first step’ paid off for Hayley. Through her own hard work and determination and with the support of the instructors and staff at the Discovery Centre, she proudly graduated from her program in 2019. Looking back to where her journey began, she has no doubt that finishing high school as an adult was the right choice.

“I’ve learned it’s never too late to start the next chapter of your life,” says Hayley. “Finishing high school at the Discovery Centre has taken me to the next level.”

Aiming high 

She made the choice to finish her high school and she’s hopeful about what’s to come – both professionally and personally.

“I feel like I’m more myself,” says Hayley. “I feel like I can do anything that I dream of doing now, even post-secondary. That wasn’t even an option before.”

Stepping into the light

Hayley has found a path through the darkness she experienced after her grandfather died. With the help of the Discovery Centre, her world is full of bright possibilities. She knows her grandfather would be proud of what she’s accomplished — and most importantly, she’s proud of herself.
