A brave step forward
Michelle didn’t let her learning disabilities slow her down. She knew going back to school would be hard — but she also knew that with the right support she’d be ready to take on the challenge.
“I looked in the mirror and I said to myself, ‘you did it, you really did it,’” says Michelle.
The final test
Michelle put in the work and she did what she’d set out to do — for her family and for herself — the payoff was worth it.
“It was such an amazing feeling, knowing that I was gonna put my name on my last test. And I was gonna have all of my credits. It was phenomenal.”
Worry begone
Michelle knows that the days of worrying about not being able to fill out forms are behind her now. By finishing high school as an adult, she has created a new future full of possibility and opportunity.
“I’m truly writing my next chapter,” says Michelle.
