Elaine always knew she was smart, so she decided to find out what she was capable of by finishing high school with the Discovery Centre!

Cameron found a place to grow at the Discovery Centre, along with encouraging support to help him reach his full potential! He says finishing high school with the Discovery Centre gave him “more options, more confidence … a new life for me and my family.”

Callie originally left high school to become a mother; her new baby had to be her number one priority. When she decided to reach out and finish high school, she realized all the new opportunities she would have!

Everyone experiences high school a little differently. Some students feel overwhelmed, some students feel like they don’t belong, and other students have a lack of interest. Growing up in Kilbride provided other opportunities for Kevin.

Taking that ‘first step’ paid off for Hayley. “They really made me feel like I was at home,” remembers Hayley. “They showed me that they cared about me and how I was feeling. They made me feel like I could just be myself.”

Sandra admits that going back to school in your 50s can be a nerve-wracking experience. “It took willpower, determination, and most of all, guts.” Sandra says it is never too late to return to school. “If I can do it, anyone can, so take that most important first step and open the door to your future at the Discovery Centre. The only one stopping you is you!”
